The reminiscent of the video, took me back to Fort apache where the Movie Krush Groove was filmed and also where I grew up. I watched Curtis Blow, the Fat Boys and other rappers built the foundation of the rap game through virgin eyes. It was the truth to me. Although the game has been altered to keep up with technology and to keep up with the times, the truth of the matter is, that back then, like now, the economy was not doing that great. As many hip hop lovers try to find some good news, they are left in limbo wondering when will I get my turn to get stimulated? Will I see a dime of that money? No you won’t. But just like the kids from Krush Groove, Versall is beating the odds and giving us some comfort rap along with the video that takes us back to a place that we are familiar with and have seen the up’s and the downs; and just as things looked uncertain for us then, it looked the same way now. We over came the obstacles then creating the solid record Company Def Jam, and one of the greatest rap groups of all time Run DMS & Jam Master Jay along with a host of other rappers who are now legends and still thriving; we will continue to over come anything that is thrown at us because it doesn’t take a stimulus package to motivate us to fight with our talents through adversities and come out on the other side as victorious!! You are my champion Versall!! Keep up your great work and complements to Mr. Changa for a job well done on the video.
